Denia at the Costa Blanca, with approx. 25.000 inhabitants, is located in the province Alicante between the mountain of the Montgo and the Mediterranean. Denia offers a coastline of almost 20km Costa Blanca to the visitor and the place has a very good infrastructure. One finds small businesses, supermarkets, banks, bars, restaurants and Cafes that are open throughout the whole year. The markets reflect the life as well as the culture of the country and are as excellent as the medical supply by English-speaking Doctors and modern hospitals. Denia is well known as the city of the celebrations at the Costa Blanca: The summer solstice fest of San Juan, the bull race at the port or the ceremonies in honor of San Roque and many more. Long and sandy beaches as Les marine, L`Almadrava, Les Deveses are in the north of the city and in the south the rocky coast Las Rotas has numerous small bays, a paradise created just for divers and fishers. Denia, the most second-important port of the Costa Blanca connects the region with the islands Ibiza and Formentera through ferry boat commerce. Denia has a large Yacht- and a sport port and in Denia you find all necessary furnishings for water events as sailing, windsurfing, diving and sport fishing. Due to the unique landscape, special animal and plant life that can be found there, the mountain ridge of Montgo as well as his spurs up to the cape San Antonio were declared a nature reserve by the valencian central government 1987.
