The Costa Dorada is the coastal region of the province of Tarragona and with a length of 184km, covered with golden sandy beaches, its reachs over the region of wine Pinède up to the conservation area of the river delta of the Ebro. One finds in the Costa Dorada a multitude of castles and antiquities. In a circular course through the towns of Miravet, Falset, Tortosa, Villa Seca, and Riudecanyes the visitor will find fascinating relics from the various cultural epochs of Spain. In this region, the painter Joan Miró found its roots and bought in 1910 a country house in Miamiplaya. Here, he said, are the poles of his inspirations and here he discovered his primary colors, blue lakes, green fields and also the red of the mountains. In the beautiful and well maintained Urbanistaion, Tres Calas near L`Ametlla de Ma one can still find this sense of security and tranquility.
